Installing SDB Pro

Microsoft Windows 98x, NT4.0: Requires Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.5 to run SprintDB Desktop Companion.
MDAC may already be installed on your PC. A simple way to check this to install SprintDB Pro Desktop Companion on your PC, and then try to open the sample database by using the Help > Sample Databases menu. If you encounter an error opening the database, please install MDAC on your PC.

Download MDAC 2.5

Software: Microsoft ActiveSync 3.x to export/import form files to/from Pocket PC.

SprintDB Pro Installation

Installation is fully automatic. SprintDB Pro may be installed either into Main Memory or a CompactFlash (CF) Secure Digital (SD) card or Microdrive. Database access will be faster if installed in main memory.

Registering your Copy of SprintDB Pro

When installation is complete, you will need to register your copy of the application.

SprintDB Pro Installation Folders

When SprintDB Pro or SprintDB Pro + Printing is installed into your device's Main Memory, it will be located in the following folder: \Program Files\SprintDB Pro.

If you choose to install SprintDB Pro onto a Storage Card, it will be located in the following folder: \Storage Card\KaioneSoft. (SprintDB Pro).

SprintDB Pro + Printing will be installed into: \Storage Card\KaioneSoft. (SprintDB Pro + Printing).

Note: On some devices "Storage Card" may be called "CF Card" or "SD Card".

SprintDB Pro Forms and Database Files
Form files (.raf) are stored in \Program Files\SprintDB Pro\Forms. Database files (.cdb) can stored in any folder on your device, generally under your \My Documents folder.

If you have installed SprintDB Pro or SprintDB Pro + Printing onto a storage card and you would like to store your Form files there as well, use either \Storage Card\KaioneSoft. (SprintDB Pro)\Forms or \Storage Card\KaioneSoft. (SprintDB Pro + Printing)\Forms.

Note : You can change the default form folder. See Getting Started for more information.
